Lorna Lillian Stevens was born in Elko, NV on July 24, 1957 and passed away in Las Vegas, NV on October 15, 2021.
Lorna lived in Elko, NV most of her life, briefly residing in Reno, NV and Wisconsin. She loved her family and enjoyed taking care of her loved ones. Lorna worked her whole adult life, mostly in the casino industry and retired in 2011. She was a great cook, loved to sew, crochet, embroider and her favorite pastime was playing Bingo.
Lorna is survived by her children; Salvador (Chava), Jr., Angela and Suzanna Sandoval; grandson, Owen Mann and ex-husband, Salvador Sandoval, Sr.; siblings, Ann Jacobo, Margaret Yowell, Chester, Julianna, and Sharon Steven, Vicky and Jeff Belka; brother-in-law, Joaquin Sandoval and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Stevens, Sr., and Pauline Belka; mother and father-in law, Guadalupe Llamas and Juan Sandoval; siblings, James, Jr.; Gerald, Bruce, Lenore and Lonnie Stevens' Thomas Belka and brother-in-law, Basilo Sandoval.
We are deeply affected by her untimely passing and will miss her tremendously. She was a light and inspiration and she lived her days with love in her heart. We love you mom and will miss you for the rest of our lives.
A viewing will be held at Burns Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 3-5pm. Funeral Services will be held at the Elko Colony Health and Wellness Center (Colony Gym) on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be at Elko County Cemetery with a feed to follow at the Colony Gym./
