Mrs. Christian and family, I was so deeply saddened to hear about Frank's passing, especially hearing about it at such a late date. He was a great friend, a strong christian, and truly a wonderful mentor to have been associated with. I know he is in Heaven flying one of his beloved planes and probably sharing football stories with the Lord. I know he is missed by many, but we can take heart that he is Home.
My God Bless each of you,
David and Susie Price

Frank Christian was a gentleman with all the people he interacted with. He cared about his students and the football players that played for him. I would see him at UTEP football games and he would come over and sit with us. We will miss his company and friendship. My condolences to his wife, his family.

How do you say good by to an eternal friend? I was recruited by Frank to sell life insurance when I was right out of college in the early 70s. He was appointed general agent for American Amicable in El Paso after being the head football coach at EPHS. He was my mentor in life. He helped me win a trip from the company to Jamaica. We spent 10 days on that island with his wife Lynn and my wife. Although our career paths took separate paths we always stayed in touch. Frank was an enterprising individual with many irons in the fire. I remember his dress blue Air Force officers uniform he wore when on duty at the area high schools recruiting for the academy. He went back to coaching in the early 90s to be able to retire with full teacher retirement benefits. He retired with reserve military benefits also after 26 years in USAF reserve. He went back to full time insurance sales after retiring from teaching/coaching in the 90s. I saw him about 8 years ago in El Paso and he told me he had retirement pay from Social Secuity, Teacher Retirement, Military Retirement, and insurance sales residuals. Frank did it his way and it really paid off for him and his family. I remember fondly my times with Frank. He was so devoted to his wife and daughters. I am so sad that he has left this earth, but so proud to have known him so well.
