"Love yourself, be kind to yourself and others, think beauty, and trust in Him". These are the words of the ever determined, loyal, and loving Ida Lyne Delgado who entered eternal life with our Lord on December 2, 2018. A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who was guided by strength of will, she was blessed with a loving and devoted family from every walk of life and many devoted friends. Born in Alpine, Texas, she spent 45 years in government service in El Paso retiring as a manpower planning analyst on the Patriot ABM System. Preceded in death by parents 1Lt. George Lyne, USA, Tillie Holguin (step father Florencio), and husband, Bobby Delgado. Her benevolent spirit is carried on by sons George (Rosemary), David (Linda) Delgado, and daughter Susan De La Paz. Grandchildren Amanda Graves (Bryan), Taylor Delgado (Alison), Lindsay Cueto (Carlos), Laura, Julian, and Danielle De La Paz, 6 great grandchildren, companion Joe Jordan, numerous nieces, nephews, and many future generations. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from her during her 88 years, among them, "Don't ever leave home without makeup on", meaning; "Embrace life while always looking your best"! My dearest Memom,
there isnt a day that goes by that I dont think about you. Often I look back at photos of us in our younger years and reminisce on the memories we created. My life doesnt feel complete without you in it, but I find peace and solace knowing your soul is happy, resting, healthy and young once again with our dear Lord in heaven. Please tell granddaddy, grandma Tilly, grandpa Lencho, and little Mila I say hello. I cannot wait to see you again someday, as in my heart I believe that God will reunite us. You left so many parts of you in my life, especially because you raised me from the time I was a baby and for the rest of my life. I have memories of you that are the most endearing and will last me a lifetime. I love you always and forever. Your granddaughters Laura.
