Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, JESUS JACOBO FIERRO, known to everyone whoever met him as "Chuy," passed away peacefully at 83 years of age on Monday, January 15, 2018, surrounded by his family. Chuy lived in El Paso, Texas, the city where he was born, for his entire life. With his wife, Enriqueta ("Queta"), who was his high school sweetheart and wife of 59 years, Chuy raised four sons. He was a proud Bowie Bear (Class of '53), a proud U.S. Marine, a proud American and a 43-year veteran of the U. S. Postal Service. Chuy had a brilliant analytical mind, a dry sense of humor and a big appetite for politics, spy novels, and the Dallas Cowboys. He was also a sincere and humble gentleman who instilled the finest elements of familial and social responsibility, kindness, loyalty and decorum in his sons. Chuy enjoyed helping others and sought ways to improve the lives of many of the people he met during his wonderful life. He was also a practicing Catholic, who loved to read the Bible and serve his parish, and was a member of the St. Pius X Church chapter of ACTS. He was the youngest of nine children by Jose P. and Soledad G. Fierro. In addition to his sons, Jesus Jr., Carlos, Martin and Mark, his progeny includes grandson Matthew, granddaughters Stella and Alexandra (Carlos) and granddaughters Haylee and Sabrina (Martin). He loved his wonderful daughters-in-law Susanne, Jennifer, and Barbara. Chuy is also survived by big sisters Emma and Delia, cousin Nito, and numerous nieces and nephews who were ever in his heart and mind. Chuy also loved his "adopted" son, Enrique Moreno, whose thoughtfulness and care were a blessing over many years. Chuy was the "big dog" of his family and we will miss him until we see him again one day. His real doggies, Guera and Diego, miss him, too. The Fierro family is immensely grateful to Drs. Santoscoy and Garza, the many additional wonderful doctors at Del Sol Medical Center, the tireless, professional and exceptionally caring nurses and staff in the CVICU, and the amazing staff that supported them in caring for Chuy during his final weeks. Funeral services to be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 at St. Pius X Catholic Church (1050 N. Clark, El Paso, TX 79905) at 7:30 PM for viewing with praying of the rosary to begin at 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 1:30 PM with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Project Amistad - Client Health & Welfare Fund, 3210 Dyer St, El Paso, TX 79930.

FOREVER
I may be invisible to your sight
But I am forever here.
You may not hear me speak
But I am forever whispering in your ear.
You may not feel my touch
But I am forever by your side.
You may not feel my presence
But I am forever going to remind you that my soul has not died.
You may not see my face
but I am forever smiling at you.
You may not know I'm there
But I am forever watching what you do.
I may not breathe the same air
But I am forever holding you.
And although I cannot be seen
I am Foreverlike my love for you.
