Jerry was a great guy. A fellow Omahan, he gave of his heart and of his grocery store when the Lawn Lake Flood hit Estes. He emptied his shelves of food and water as emergency relief. We took carload after carload to people all over Estes. Jerry was one of many heroes throughout that tragedy. Blake, Peggy, Tim and others are gone from the Trail. It would be nice if the current staff did a series of all the heroes from each of the floods. Rest in peace, my friend. Tom

Jerry was a great guy and a fellow Omahan. I remember him opening up his heart and his supermarket at the time of the Lawn Lake flood. We took carload after carload to people all over Estes until his aisles were almost empty. He was one of the many heroes during that tragedy. Most of the people at the Trail are long gone by now but it would be neat to see a story about those heroes. Rest in peace my friend, Tom
