Anna A. Calviero, 95, of Roseto, PA, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019, at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth, PA.
Anna was born in Roseto, PA, on Sept. 30, 1923, a daughter of the late Domenico and Maria M (Caccavella) D'Avanzo. She was the widow of the late Leon J. Calviero, who passed away in 2016.
Anna was employed as a sewing machine operator at the former Gladys Sportswear in Pen Argyl, PA, until retiring. Anna was a member of UNITE, the garment workers union, and the Order of the Eastern Star. Her joy came from spending time with family and friends.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Parish of Bangor & Roseto in Bangor, PA, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the church Sessions and Deacon boards.
Anna is survived by a daughter, Pasqualyn "Pat" Flick, wife of James; a son, Leon "Skip" P. Calviero, husband of Sharon; three grandchildren, Julie Buist, wife of Jeff; Jim Flick Jr., husband of Debbie; and Cheryl Flick, wife of Evin Levey; five great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Adam Levey, and Jax, Jayden, and Jensyn Buist, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laurie Calviero, and 10 half brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, at the Presbyterian Parish of Bangor & Roseto, 332 Kennedy Drive, Bangor, PA, with Albert Martin officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, at the church. Burial will be held at the Roseto Presbyterian Cemetery in Roseto, PA.
