At the beginning of the pandemic, I encouraged my sister (who is an employee of Gracedale) to find people who were interested in having a pen pal since visitors were not allowed on Gracedale premises. I was given Barbara’s name/address, and we began writing letters back and forth for several months. I had hopes to come and visit Barbara once restrictions were lifted due to COVID-19, but unfortunately that cannot happen. I am very sad to learn of Barbara’s passing, and I will miss getting her fun cards that included summaries of her current readings and stories of her beloved dog Inky. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and may she rest in peace.

Aunt Barbara you will be sorely missed. Forever I will remember the pictures of Inky you would draw on our cards. You are now with Jesus and I'm sure your godson, Brandon will welcome you in Heaven with your parents and Uncle Jimmy. God has received a true special person.

I met Barbara in the gift shop at Gracedale. She was lovely to talk to and told me about her mom being the president of Nazareth Woman's Club. I was sorry that she was already a lifetime member, unable to attend meetings by the time I became a member.
