To the Stokes Family:

Please accept my most sincere condolences for the loss of your Mom. I remember your family from the old neighborhood where we had some great times growing up. I would also see your Mom in later years since she and my Mom lived in the same apartment complex. She was still the same friendly, kind and upbeat person I remember from those early years. May she Rest In Peace. Blessings to your family.

For Aunt Liz:
July 8, 2019

Aunt Liz,

Im sorry Im not able to be at your service today.

Ive been thinking and praying for you and your family, especially in these past days of your earthly life.

Ive known you to be a strong womanstrong-willed, AND committed to your faith. There were times in my life that I looked up to the faith you displayed in the Lord. No matter what, you were steadfast in serving God in the ways you knew how.

Why did I look up to you?

Because I knew you believed in the Truth.

Was the truth difficultand maybe even harsh to hear from you? Yes! And I think it may have been difficult for other people, too, to grasp. But I knew it was the Lord speaking through you.

Id like you to know that your courage to fight what you were facing in the past weeks was inspiring to me.

You taught me that what you believed may not have been of popular opinion, but that didnt matter to you, because you werent seeking the worlds approval.

This I also know: Your family members loved you, and honored you, in different ways:

Lisa and Eric supplied shelter for you, shelter that you called home99 Lynwood Avenuethat you could be comfortable in home surroundings

Marie and Ray traveled to be with you, taking turns attending to your needs

Betsy honored you by being there, no matter what circumstances arose

Bill was graciously by your side, relieving the others when they grew tired and weary

Bobby let you know he was OK, and that you were going to be ok too in your new life.

Your children knew how to comfort your soulby singing, and talking over the phone to you, or playing guitar for you, or holding your hand.

Your relatives visited you.

You were loved, and your life had meaning!

Though I may be sad to see you leave this world, and as I cry tears for you,
I rejoice today in knowing that your Lord and Savior accepts you into His arms as His own child!

Peace...not as the world gives!

Love, Annie
