Gloria B. Fisher
BANGOR
Gloria B. Fisher, 87, of Bangor, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at her residence. She was born in Portland, PA, on Oct. 17, 1931, a daughter of the late Gladys and James Bellis Sr.
Gloria was the wife of the late Claude S. Fisher Jr., who passed away in 1975. She received her master's degree in education from Lehigh University, and worked as a teacher for the I.U. 20 for many years until retiring. Gloria was a past member of the Blue Valley Rescue Squad Auxiliary, and she was a former member of the First United Methodist Church, Bangor.
Gloria is survived by a son, Craig Fisher, husband of Debra; six grandchildren, Justin, Collin, Caleb, Cason, Brooklyn, and Bella, and five great grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by a brother, James Bellis.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, in the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 314 S. 1st St., Bangor, PA, with Rev. David Felker officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m., on Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fisher family in c/o the funeral home.

Craig and family,
Your mother was my 1st grade teacher at McKinley School. I was a South Bangor kid. I also knew your father from the Acme where he worked with my dad. They were both special people. RIP Mrs. Fisher.
