Logan Austin SOS WILSON BOROUGH Logan Austin SOS, 26, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2021 after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family, at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Loving, kind, creative and hilariously funny, Logan was a true free spirit who leaves a grieving family and many close friends who were like family to him. He will be remembered as a great friend, always empathetic and willing to offer a shoulder to lean on, the guy who knew how to lighten a mood and who everyone wanted to be around. The son of Christopher Douglas Sos and Angelita (Garcia) Renninger, he was born Feb. 16, 1995 in Easton Hospital, and lived primarily in the Easton area, most recently in Wilson Borough where his parents, step-parents and younger siblings reside, as well as in Wilkes-Barre, Philadelphia, and New York City. Logan attended schools in the Easton Area School District and earned his GED. He worked at Spin Me Round record shop in Phillipsburg, NJ; Planet Fitness locations in Palmer and Nazareth, PA, and New York City; and at the Color Factory, NYC. Logan enjoyed video games and watching professional wrestling but his true passion was music. A self-taught musician and born entertainer, he played drums, bass, guitar and keyboards, composed his own music, and performed in many bands including Gilbert's Breakdown Bonanza, Crocuta Crocuta, Octopus Logic, Glassgrade, Rektangles Revenge, SAD, and Fuji//Yama, as well as solo under the names Dprssndve and Run From The Day. Logan poured his heart and soul into every performance, whether it was for five people or a packed club. In addition to his parents, he is survived by stepfather Heath Renninger Sr.; stepmother Sandy Sos; brothers Christopher "Bubba" Sos and Heath Renninger, Jr.; sisters Hennessy and Haven Renninger; grandparents Felipe Garcia and Ninfa Garcia of Big Spring, TX; uncles Kevin Sos (wife Jessica) of Easton, PA; Philip Garcia (wife Valentina) of Sacramento, CA; and Jason Garcia (husband Michael Walton) of Converse, TX; and many cousins in Pennsylvania, Texas and California. He was predeceased by his grandma and poppy, Valerie and Doug Sos, great-grandfather Poppy Sam Sottolano, and great-grandmother Nana Jean Tucker. A celebration of Logan's life will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 1602 Ferry St., Easton, PA 18042. Memorial contributions can be made in Logan's name to Penn Medicine or, given his love of animals, especially his three dogs, to a local animal shelter.
