NAZARETH Maynard R. Werkheiser, Jr., 64, of Nazareth, passed away, Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth. Born in East Stroudsburg, August 10, 1957, he was the son of the late Maynard R. Werkheiser, Sr. and Barbara (Kern) Werkheiser. Maynard was a 1976 graduate of Bangor High School and was employed by Fanatics as a packer and prior to that, he worked at MCS Industries, Easton. He was a sports enthusiast. He loved the Miami Dolphins and NACAR Racer Davey Allison. He knew everything about sports, often calling in, answering sports questions of the radio station. He was of the Lutheran faith. Surviving is his beloved sister, Cathy (Werkheiser) Anklam, and her husband, Kurt, of Bath, and he will be greatly missed by family and friends. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, November 28th, beginning at 6 PM until 8 PM, at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl, and Monday, November 29th, beginning at 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield Township. Online condolences may be offered at www.ruggierofuneralhome.com. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Good Shepherd in Allentown and Moravian Hall Square for the wonderful care of Maynard.
