Leona M. Dutt, 91, of Bangor, PA, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, at Easton Hospital. Leona was born in Bethlehem, PA, on June 9, 1928, a daughter of the late Leo and Cecelia (Muhr) Copf.
She was the wife of Leroy Dutt. They would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on Nov. 4th. Leona was employed as a machine operator at the former Valerie Fashions in Pen Argyl and Wind Gap until retiring.
She was a faithful servant of Jehovah and a member of the Belvidere Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Belvidere, NJ. Prior to that, she was a member of the Roseto and Mt. Bethel Congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was most happy when she was out in service and sharing the scripture with others. Leona truly loved Jehovah and His son Christ Jesus. She loved sharing the news of the coming paradise earth.
In addition to her husband Leroy, Leona is survived by a daughter, Melisandé Rush, a stepdaughter, Robin Tester, two grandchildren, Matthew Rush, husband of Kathy, and Genesis Lessard, wife of Dan, four great-grandchildren, Ainsley, Allegra, Beckett, and Zoe, and a stepgreat-grandson, Lucas.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Belvidere Kingdom Hall, 35 Ramseyburg Rd., Columbia, NJ. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. " Village of Johnsonville," Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com
