Shelly and Jackie,

I got to know your dad at Gold's gym. We would talk sports all the time while on the elliptical machine and that made the time go by very quickly. I'm sure he is talking to some of his favorite Yankee players (Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Joe Dimaggio) and joins them as an "Angel in the Outfield".

May your dad rest in peace.

Sincerely,

Dave Tomaszewski

I am so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of good times at the Tavern. That was an atmosphere that Russ created he always made you feel welcome and like you were a part of his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the family please accept my condolences. Russ was a wonderful person and always made me feel welcome when I would come by to vist. In this enormous world I'm glad our paths crossed. He will be missed. Love, Mary Sinkiewicz

Thank you everyone who took the time leave a note, a candle, a memory of my dad. Being his daughter I realized when I was very young that I would spend a lifetime sharing my Dad with a lot of people, and that was just fine with me.
It was a super-extended family of sorts.

He was that kind of father and that kind of man. In his ever-so-suttle-way, he had a lot to offer, you just needed to pay close attention and listen.... a lesson I learned very early on.
Thank you for being a part of our lives, we are better people for it.

We love you Dad and will miss you forever and a day.
