Mary A. Staub, 84, entered into God's eternal care on Monday, January 1, 2018 at her home. She was the wife of Alfred G. "Smoke" Staub to whom she was married 64 years.
Born August 13, 1933 in Beckleysville, MD, she was the daughter of Harry C. and Ella E. (Roach) Ensor.
Mary was a 1951 graduate of Sparks High School in Maryland. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially her grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are four children, Joanne Myers and husband, Michael of Spring Grove, Brian Staub of Hanover, Karen Fletcher and husband, Steve of York and Rene Staub and wife, Jessica of McSherrystown; seven grandchildren, Doug Myers, Kristin Roth, Noah and Justine Staub, Meghan and Canaan Fletcher and Dylan Staub; eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven siblings, Ada, Clarence, Raymond and Austin Ensor, Virginia Talbert, Ella Ethel Krichten and Nellie Childress.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown, with the Rev. Charles L. Persing officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Friends and relatives will be received Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Myers, Noah Staub, Dylan Staub, Canaan Fletcher, Mike Myers and Steve Fletcher.
Contributions in memory of Mary may be made to American Heart Association of South Central PA, 1019 Mumma Rd., Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
