Gloria A. Laughman
Gettsyburg
Gloria Ann (Howe) Laughman, 70, passed away at York Hospital on January 13, 2018. She was the loving wife of Jerry A. Laughman, who passed away in 2009.
Gloria was born on August 27, 1947 in Hanover and was the daughter of the late Merle and Alverta (Hagerman) Howe. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1406 in Hanover, the Westminster Moose, and the Dillsburg American Legion. She spent her time volunteering at the Gettysburg United Methodist Church and by making blankets for the homeless. She was also a Scout Leader for the Apple Valley District Girl Scouts Brownie Troop. She enjoyed spending her time camping, cooking, sewing, reading, and being with her family and friends. She had a very big heart, and loved to help people in any way that she could.
Gloria is survived by her son, Ronald L. Arnsberger Jr.; her daughter, Ronda Folmer; and her grandson, Zachary Folmer. She was also survived by her sisters, Donna Anderson and husband, David and Karen Busbey; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Francis Howe and Richard Howe.
A memorial service in celebration of Gloria's life will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 2 p.m. at East Berlin VFW Post #8896, 107 Locust St., East Berlin, with the Rev. Jay Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be held privately by the family at a later date. Family services are under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc. of Spring Grove.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gloria's memory can be made to the Gettysburg United Methodist Church, 30 W. High St. Gettysburg PA 17325.
