Robert L. Rundle, Sr.
Mountain Top - The world lost one of its biggest sources of laughter as Robert L. Rundle, Sr., known best as Bob, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2018 at the age of 82. It was likely one of the only peaceful things Bob did in his life as he lived to shake things up, tell jokes, and make people laugh.
He was born December 2, 1935. His love story with his wife, Agnes, lasted over 60 years. Along with Agnes, he is survived by son, Rob, of whom he was incredibly proud; his daughter-in-law and partner-in-crime, Patti; four grandchildren, Megan Kunkel (husband, Justin), Sam Kling ( husband, Colin), Matt Rundle, Tim Rundle ( wife, Ciara); two great-grandchildren, Kenley and Quinn Kunkel; and sister, Ruth Ann Jeffery; along with beloved extended family and friends.
Bob was a proud man who lived for his family and his community. You couldn't be around him without laughing. He was an avid Penn State fan, loved to golf with his son, and will be remembered fondly as an expert cookie thief when baked goods were supposed to be "cooling." Bob loved to dance and listen to "good" music. He worked hard and loved harder and leaves behind a mountain of memories of a life well-lived.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 8 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, 420 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. Friends can call at the church from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to to SpiriTrust Lutheran, York, or St. Jude's Building Fund, Mountain Top.
