Age 66, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at his home in Plum, PA. Dwight was born on January 12, 1951 in Pittsburgh, son of Janet (Grimenstein) Kuhn and Ralph Kuhn. He was a member of Cornerstone Ministries church, loved woodworking, painting and music and enjoyed spending winters in Florida with his family and friends. Dwight was a graduate of Penn Hills High School where he attended Forbes Trail Technical School for drafting. At the age of 18 he began working at Jendoco Construction Corporation in Penn Hills, where he spent the entirety of his 44 year career, retiring as the President in 2013. Dwight advanced the construction industry in Western Pennsylvania by serving on many boards and committees, most notably the Master Builders Association AIA-MBA Committee and the Board of the Carpenter's Pension Fund. Dwight was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dale (Linda) Kuhn. Dwight is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathleen (Collins) Kuhn, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. They were married on August 9, 1969 and started their family in Penn Hills, PA before moving to Verona, and finally settling in Plum Boro in 1977. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three brothers, Ralph (Diane) Kuhn of Leechburg, PA, Donald (Sara) Kuhn of Penn Hills, PA and James (Ellen) Kuhn of Naples, FL; one daughter, Dana (Brian) Tomko; and one son, Michael (Megan) Kuhn. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Logan Tomko, Dylan Tomko, Katherine "Katie" Kuhn, Aidan Tomko, Gabriel "Gabe" Kuhn and Ethan Tomko; also ten nieces and nephews. Dwight will be remembered as a man of integrity, gospel focused and family oriented, who was well respected by his colleagues and well loved by his family and friends. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at MAURICE L. KNEE, LTD. FUNERAL HOME, 7663 Saltsburg Rd., (across from S & T Bank) Plum, PA 15239 and on Monday one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Please accept my late note of condolences in your book of comments. I was very very saddened to hear of Dwighr's passing so young. He was such a sweet guy and wonderful husband to Kathy. They were two peas in a pod. As a father I can only say he has left a beautiful legacy. He always had a kind word. Now there had to be another side to him if he was president of a very prominent construction company so for this, Dwight, my hat is off to your business' side of life! Cherished memories and now your angel watches over you. Take care, Kathy, and we hope to see you at our next reunion. ❤

To the family of Dwight,
One of the best, knew Dwight from working with him as a supplier of rebar, always had a
grin on his face and never a cruel word.
He will be missed!

My deepest sympathy to Kathy and the entire family. I remember Dwight growing up and was amazed by his ability to create beautiful finished carpentry. He was multi talented and will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Kathy and Family, Just received a text from my dad (Uncle Mick) informing us of Dwight's passing. He was far too young to leave you, and the family. You guys are in our hearts and prayers during this time.

Kathy and family,

I am very sad to hear of the passing of Dwight. I worked with him for many years at Jendoco. He was one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. You have my deepest sympathy. God Bless you and the family.
