Reno Robert Andreis, a life-long resident of Fort Bragg, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 12, 2019, while returning home from one of his beloved hunting trips. He was 70 years old.
Known by his family and friends as Bob, he was one of four children born to Reno and Naida Andreis. Growing up in Fort Bragg, he was surrounded by his brother, Allan, sisters, Mary Ann and Adriane, cousins and numerous friends. Bob was a third generation mechanic, taking over his family's Union Garage and subsequently renaming it Andreis Auto Repair.
Bob married Margie Hill in 1970 and, a few years later, she gave birth to their son, Jay, followed by their daughter, Tina. In the mid-1980s, Bob and Margie purchased a parcel of land where they built their dream log home and raised their family. Bob instilled in his children a strong work ethic, something for which he was known, as well as unwavering honesty and integrity – traits he would demonstrate throughout his life.
Bob's passions were his family, the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed sharing his hunting trips with his son, son-in-law and numerous life-long friends.
Bob was preceeded in death by his father, mother and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Margie; children, Jay and Shanna Andreis, Tina and Richard Thomas; grandchildren, Blake and Hunter Thomas, Caraline Andreis and Calvin Lim; brother, Allan Andreis; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Bob's family invites you to stop by Andreis Auto Repair on South McPherson Street between 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, to celebrate his life.

Total shock to me. Bob was about the only person I trusted to work on my vehicles. Great man. Awesome outdoors man.

My condolences to the Andreis family who were always known for their honesty and integrity. I have fond memories of my father going to the Union Garage in the "old" days to have work done on his car.

Dear Margie, I am so very sorry about the loss of your Bob. I know it's been a while since we've seen you but I have such fond memories of my times in Fort Bragg when I relentlessly tried to chat it up with Bob and or, God forbid, tried to get him to dance with me and he would just nicely wave me off!! I annoyed him but he made me smile! He was truly a good man! My sincere condolences to you and your family.
