CALEB HARRISON Obituary

CALEB AARON HARRISON Was taken too soon - on Friday, August 23, 2013, in his prime, at the age of 40. His huge personality, wry sense of humour, and obsession with all things sports will be sorely missed by all of his friends and family. Caleb found his true calling when he became a father to Mason and Mecaela. His fierce devotion to his children impressed all of us who watched him grow up. He was also a playful and attentive uncle to his nieces and nephews Lauren, Jackson, Elia, Alida, Amelie, and Lara. His love for his girlfriend Corinda, and her children Jayden and Jordan, was apparent to all. Caleb leaves behind a community of family and friends in Canada, the US, Germany and Australia. Cousins Stefani, Stephen, Niki, Marc, Kate, Anna, Jessie, Sonja, Tobi, Andre, friends Greg and Pete, and sister Lisa will miss his sarcastic barbs, bad jokes and booming laugh. We all know that he's reunited with his loving parents, Bill and Bridget, in heaven. A memorial service and reception will be held on Friday, August 30th, details still to be confirmed. Please contact Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens for memorial service information at [email protected] or 905-257-8822. Donations to the Mississauga Southwest Baseball Association can be made in Caleb's honour at www.msbabaseball.ca/contact.html

Thinking of you today and remembering all the great times we shared with our kids, with your parents and just hanging out in the backyard. Great meals together, our regular get togethers to watch our favourite show. I miss Bill & Bridget and thier kindness and friendship. You will never be forgotten. Miss you and your laughter so very much especially today. Praying for your kids. RIP Caleb

I only knew you for a few years but I will always have great memories of you. You were always happy, smiling, and joking around. I'll never forget that infectious laugh. The one thing I will remember the most is the love you had for your children. My heart goes out to Mason and Mecaela.

Caleb, it was a pleasure knowing you, we will forever cherish every moment we spent with you and will always remember your sense of humour and you teasing Lisa. You were taken from us too young, and had to leave behind two beautiful children, you were a great father to them. We love you and miss you so much, till we meet again. Rest in peace.

A friend that won't soon be forgotten, but missed forever. Still in disbelief, our hearts go out to his children and family who have already endured to much loss and heart ache.

Like loving parents standing in the wings of your life, holding our breaths while you overcame what most would consider insurmountable pain...we watched you soar through it all, Caleb.
Your love touched all who knew you...we loved you too.
Through you, Mason and Mecaela you gave true meaning to second chances. You will always be a beacon of love and inspiration to us. We pray Mason and Mecaela are feeling your warm love wrapped around them.

Forever in our hearts

MEMORIES OF LIVING NEXT DOOR 1998-2007:
CALEB: Bringing his tiny children to our door and standing
back while they rang the doorbell and politely asked "may
we swim in your pool, please?"
Coming to our door to say "all finished cutting
our lawn--thought I'd cut yours too--OK?" Bob just hated
when he'd do that (not).
Bob & Caleb standing on the lawn and insulting
each other (as men do), discussing every sport known to
man, and laughing uproariously at some silly joke.

BILL: Hearing shrieks and l laughter & looking out bedroom
window to see Bill crouched behind bush between our homes playing Hide & Seek with the Grandkids.

BRIDGET; Chats across fence from our laundry room doors;
standing on their lawn telling her we had just bought a condo and her saying "No no-don't move-stay here" &
feeling guilty; gardening & drinking coffee/wine with
Bridget summer after Bill's passing & agonizing over it.

We are unbelieving and unbelievably sad about this
latest horror. God Bless the children and the families.

I've known Caleb since he was a baby and he'll always hold a special place in my heart. Taken too soon indeed.

"When sorrows come, they come not single spies, but in battalions."(HAMLET)

The loss of Caleb so young leaves only sadness for what might have been. A life cut short before it reached its potential.

Our thoughts are of the Harrison and Blackwell families, Caleb's children, and all the friends and relatives in Caleb's life. May everyone find strength in remembering Caleb's life and legacy.

Rest in Peace Caleb.

We never talked much after I left CMC, but I'm going to miss knowing that we'll never have a chance to just hang out again. Your crazy sense of humour...your impropriety...your affection for your friends, and your absolute, unquestionable love for your family...that's the Caleb I knew and loved...even when you made me just a little bit crazy :) You should never have had to leave us so soon. Your presence will be hugely missed my friend.

This message is in memory of Caleb because of the profound affect he had on the lives of our three friends, Carol, Sam, and Lisa.
Sometimes words work and sometimes silence. Let us be ever mindful and look for your needs to be met at this very sad occasion for everyone involved in this "Big Mans'Life".Caleb led a life of kindness, respect and loyalty to his family. This became apparent from conversations with Carol and from reading how other people remembered him.
We don't know why things work out the way they do but they do prompt each of us to be mindful of the others around us so we can let kidness be the loving force between us all.
A short life but well lived and well loved because of it. Let Caleb be our inspiration.

Caleb, we have been neighbours for many years though never really knew one another. What we did see from our front porch was a loving and caring father who seemed to truly enjoy his beautiful children. So much laughter and happiness radiated from your driveway - there was always something going on with you and your family / friends. We are so sorry that your life has ended just when you had found so much happiness. We pray that you are with your parents and in the arms of our Lord.

Caleb, I cannot believe that you are gone. Throughout highschool we were not too found of each other. But, later in life, we became good friends. You ALWAYS made me laugh! It was apparent that your children were your life! I hope that you are at peace with your mom and dad in heaven! I will miss all your funny posts and comments, and your crazy sense of humor.

We are shocked and saddened to learn of Cal's shocking death. His devotion to Mason and Mecaela and his zest for life were so apparent to us all. He taught my son Stephen how to pitch and he helped coach and mentor countless kids through MSBA. We will miss his smile, his huge personality and sense of humour. His passing is a great loss to his family, friends and the baseball community. The Baird family

Caleb your Pitch Pine family will miss you and your smile. It is still so completely hard to believe your gone. I will miss your friendly waves... jokes...and above all your reminder of all of the school events!;) I just giggle at the times where you would walk by with your kids to go to the park and at how hard you laughed when I confessed that I really despised going to the park. I pray that you are at peace in your parents loving arms as well as our Lord's. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of your friends and family in particular your two precious children.
