David Randall Bailey
Bonifay - David Randall Bailey (66) of Bonifay, Florida quietly passed from this life in the early hours of January 10, 2021. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of almost 40 years, Vickey (Jenkins) Bailey; his brothers Neil, Ralph, Billy Wayne and Willard Bailey; as well as his sisters Sybil Bowers and Linda Hallman.
David was well loved by most all who knew him. He was kind, generous and loving. He was also intelligent, humorous, and wise. He was always willing to share those parts of himself with others. He was completely devoted to his family, most especially his grandkids. He was a man of conviction who was rarely swayed from what he thought or believed. He was creative, having spent most of his life building structures, furniture or other items. He truly enjoyed working with his hands and teaching others how to do the same. In short, he spent his life trying to make the world around him better.
David is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, Audrey (Sorrell) Bailey; his son Michael Bailey (Stacy); stepson Tim Wilbur; stepdaughters, Stephanie Halas (Nick) and Katina Tucker; grandsons, Jeremy Bailey, Brittain Bailey (Rebecca), Carter Mackes, Truitt Wilbur, Braydon Wilbur, Nick Halas Jr. and Phoenix Halas; granddaughters, Kyla Mancill (Blake), Brianna Wilbur, Mariah Halas and Kaitlyn Tucker; siblings Joyce Hollingsworth, Elbert Bailey (Patricia) and Robert Bailey (Judy) and mother in law, Annie Sorrell; as well as a host of other extended family and close friends. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Memorialization by cremation with Sims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
A Memorial service will be graveside at New Bethany Cemetery on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 3:00 P.M.
