Mr. Miller,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USN during WW II aboard the destroyer USS Mansfield in the Pacific. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest symapthy. The Mansfield served with the fast carrier Task Force 38 and helped protect the carriers while they launched airstrikes against the Philipines, Formosa, China; Indochina as well as Iwo Jima and Okinawa and even participated in surface attack against Japanese shipping in Japan just before VJ day-I'm sorry for going on and on but I am always in awe whenever I read about what our men went through during the War.

If I remember it right, our families spent time at Arlington Pond years ago and many good times in Pinehurst. We rented a cottage nearby in Pine Village with Mary and Joe Miller and their kids. Our sympathy to you in the passing of your dad.
