age 96, of Napa Valley, California, formerly of Cleveland, Ohio passed away surrounded by his loving family. Graveside services were held Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at St. Helena Public Cemetery in St. Helena, California (Napa Valley). Beloved husband of 62 years of Elaine Pesses; cherished father of Ian (Michele Chulick) Pesses, Larry (Patti Chavin) Pesses, Michael Pesses, and Paul (Kim) Pesses; loving Papa of Blair Pesses, Cole (Audrey) Pesses, Kip Pesses, Logan (Brittany Catanach) Pesses, and Tod (Laura DePonio) Pesses; great-grand Papa of Holden; son of the late Leon and the late Anna Sukoff; stepson of Isadore Pesses; brother of the late Adele (the late Morris) Kaplan; survived by his best friend Zalmon Gellerman. Marvin was a remarkably successful entrepreneurial businessman. His passion for learning and driving persistence to overcome real obstacles were his foundation for the thriving companies he founded. His accomplishments include numerous inventions and 17 patents, the last one at the age of 94. Marvin's personal philosophy of placing family first exemplified the exceptional son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, mentor, best man, and friend that he was.
