Duluth, GA - May 25, 1942 – March 11, 2021
Major Morris "Chatt" Johnson (ret. U.S. Air Force) of Duluth, Georgia and formerly of Shalimar, Florida slipped easily from earth into heaven on the evening of March 11th. His immediate family was privileged to be with him as he victoriously crossed the finish line of his 19-month journey with pancreatic cancer.

A veteran of Vietnam and 20 years of honorable service to his country, Chatt began a second career as a systems engineer with government defense contractors. In 2012 he retired to become a full time, stay- at- home foster daddy. He and Carol were blessed to be able to love and nurture fifty- five infants over the course of forty rewarding years.
A private graveside service will be held at a future date. From their hearts, Chatt's family wishes to express their gratitude for all the kindness, thoughts and prayers that helped ease the challenge of living with cancer.

Carol and girls, in looking for you online I came across Chatt´s obit. I am so sorry. I too lost my husband, Al Torres, on July 4, 2022. I was searching for you because I am here in Naples, Florida at our vacation home and hoping to invite you to come down. I don´t know if you live in Duluth or back in Shalimar. I still live at our home in Forest Ridge and here in Florida firing the winter. Please contact me if you get this- 937-657-8633. Joan Torres
