Marta M.C. Pelypec
Newark - Marta, age 77, of Newark, formerly of Brazil, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021.
Marta was born on February 16th, 1944, in Minas Gerais State in Brazil. She was the daughter of Hercília Malzone Hugo Cerávolo and Francisco Cerávolo Sobrinho. She was the oldest of 6 siblings.
Marta was a member of Holy Family Parish where she was on the Pro-Life Committee. She was a pro-life activist in Delaware and also in her native country of Brazil. She was a member of Delaware Pro Life Coalition and Delaware Right to Life and recently assisted in the completion of a Women's Health Clinic. She attended the World Congress on the Family lead by Pope John Paul ll in Rio de Janeiro and wrote extensively for pro life issues in the Folha do Povo news journal.
Marta was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Stephen Pelypec, Jr in 2020 and Sérgio Luis Cerávolo, Maria Adelaide Cerávolo, Marco Hernani Cerávolo and Adriene Maria Cerávolo.
She is survived by her sisters Eliana Maria Cerávolo and Maria Beatriz Cerávolo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
