In Loving Memory . . .
Thank You For The Years
by Cyndi Chamlee
When I met You and Kris
I held your little one
A 3-week newborn
Precious baby Son
Then in your home
Thru SSO seasons' long
I kept Isaac and Eliot
With many a sweet song
Seasons came
Years to pass
All the travel
All the laughs
NY in the Summer
Really held your heart
Thank You for the years
I kept the boys at SSO's start
I've Loved knowing your Family
And SHARING pride in the kids
They'll always have Your heart
And every fatherly Footprint
That amazing Music
The Traditions and Faith
That fills your Home
You taught them with grace
Now you've met The Stooges
And have reunion with your Kin
But buddy you're sure missed
By every single friend
Peter Haas we Love You
From here and the World around
You're One Of A Kind
MORE than Any ever found.

Holding Kris, Isaac, and Eliot in our thoughts. We remember Pete as wickedly funny, quick, smart, exceedingly well-read, and a kind, gentle, loving person. So very sorry to lose him this soon. Deb & John

I remember getting together with Peter when we were in high school and he was delighted by his new purchase of cross country roller skis that he could use to go "skiing" when there was no snow. He was grinning with pleasure and excited to show me just how they worked. I also remember how he would hum music under his breath wherever we went, even in the halls of Shaker High School, not aware that he was providing himself a continuous soundtrack as he traveled through each day. So many wonderful memories of my time with Peter.

Peter's wit and wisdom were a lifeline to me as I struggled to remain true to myself during the rough years of junior and senior high school. His passionate embrace of music and of cross-country skiing astounded me; he even got roller skis so that he could ski when there was no snow on the ground. Ever ready to try the new if it perhaps would lead him to his goal, this last year exemplified that spirit. He continues to be an inspiration to me.

Thinking of his family and hope it helps to know your friends are praying for you and sending you love and sympathy . Peters legacy will always be with us and he is missed . I will always remember him when I see and smell lavender . Last summer when we walked to work at Chautauqua or talked at breaks we would gather some lavender and talk .. He could so easily talk about his illness and always amazed me how he could be so ill but brighten our day with his his strength and laughter . With love and sympathy ,Cindy Frank

Peter was my best friend in high school. He was a big part of how I came through the experience with my sanity intact. I am saddened to learn of his suffering, and your loss.

The Baguyos family extends our deepest condolences and prayers to the Haas family. We have many fond memories of Pete and his family that are too many to list, but we hold those memories deep in our heart, and they are very much a part of us. Pete's kindness, professionalism, generosity, wit, and intellect will always be remembered. I'm sure Eppie was looking forward to seeing him again.
