Rene Stephen Comeaux died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the age of 57. Rene's kind heart and infectious sense of humor will be fondly remembered by his family and friends. He was born on August 28, 1963 to parents Corinne R. and Sterling "Buddy" Comeaux, Jr. He grew up in Metairie, LA and attended Kehoe Academy, Saint Stanislaus, and Louisiana State University. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and making people laugh. He was also very skilled in the kitchen and loved to cook - especially for the people that he loved. Rene's greatest qualities were his love of people, adoration of family unity, and his strong will to help and nurture those that he cared for. Rene's most cherished moments in life were those that he spent with his beloved son, Colby. Rene is survived by his son Colby Comeaux; mother Corinne R. Comeaux; brothers Sterling "Chip" (Terry) and Michael Comeaux (Loren); sisters Lisa Theriot (Jeffrey, Sr.) and Linda Boucree; sister-in-law Melissa Comeaux; nieces Alexis, Christina, Mallory, Jordan, Morgan, and Rae Elizabeth; and nephews Jeffrey, Jr., Matthew, Jonathan, and Norman, Jr. "Buddy". Rene and Norman were neighbors and old friends back in the 80’s at Harborview. We have some great carefree times! Rene was always a blast to be with and saddened to hear about his loss as well as Norman a few months ago. My prayers are with the Comeaux Family.
