SCHUH
Richard Alan Schuh, age 71, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 24, 2014. He was born on October 15, 1942 in Buffalo, New York to his beloved parents George J Schuh and Grace Hutchinson, both deceased. He is survived by his wife Carol Schuh, his sons Gregory Schuh and wife Roseanne, and Andrew Schuh and wife Jennifer; daughter, Jennifer and husband Matthew Broderick; granddaughters Abigail and Savannah Schuh, and grandsons, Nicholas Broderick and Collin Schuh; brothers David and Christopher Schuh and sister Carole Cownie, and many loved nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Richard was a devoted Christian, husband and parent. Richard's passions were broadcasting, ham radio, flying, and most importantly-his grandchildren. His last position was Chief Engineer for Cox Radio, San Antonio. He was a member of Shearer Hills Baptist Church for over 30 years where he did the sound for services and special events. He was deeply loved and will be missed greatly by family and friends.
A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at Shearer Hills Baptist Church, San Antonio, on April 5, at 3 PM.

Richard and myself worked with Cox for a long time. We spent many hours on calls and meeting´s at broadcast conventions. I´m really saddened to learn of my friends passing.
I offer this poem;

HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST
God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be.
He took him in his arms and whispered come with me.
With tear filled eyes we watched him suffer and slowly fade away,
Although we loved him dearly we could not make him stay.
"A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts just to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
God Bless you Richard! You are the best. 73

Thanks for all the help and jokes late at night when we were working on the transmitters. I can hear you now laughing at something silly I did. What a great smile and laugh! A life well lived!

We shared birthdays only days apart, jokes, stories and work. For the some 30 years we worked together, directly and indirectly, will be remembered with kindness and good times.

Richard Schuh, always an utmost professional at the radio stations he keep on the air day and night. I first had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Schuh here in San Antonio at KLLS. I was honored to work with him twice again at KSMG and Cox Radio. A fun man with a good sense of humor. He would always help us program talent in any way he could. Thank you Richard Schuh.
