Sonja Shaheen, 91, of Easton, PA, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020, in the Easton Home, in Easton.
Sonja was born in Kfarsfhab, Lebanon, a daughter of the late Jabor and Susan (Lahood) Joseph. Sonja was a graduate of Easton Catholic High School, class of 1949. She was married to the late John M. Shaheen Sr. with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2015. She met her husband in 3rd grade at the former Taylor school in Easton. She worked as a secretary for 17 years at the former Fredwill Novelty Company.
Sonja is survived by three sons John M. Shaheen Jr. and his wife April, Thomas Shaheen and his wife Kathy, Jim Shaheen and his wife Taryn, a daughter Susanne Trinchere and her husband Bill, a sister-in-law Marie Joseph, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Sonja was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, in Easton., the St. Teresa Sodality, and the L.A.W.A. Club. Sonja enjoyed spending time with her family. Sonja, God is now blessing you!
Services will be private with interment in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp., PA. Funeral Services are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Easton (Palmer Twp), PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sonja's memory may be made to The Easton Home charitable care fund 1022 Northampton St. Easton PA 18042.
