Virgil Romdenne
Luxemburg - Virgil A. Romdenne, 86, Luxemburg, formerly of Casco, passed away Saturday morning, March 13, 2021, at Autumn Fields Assisted Living, Luxemburg, of cancer, with her family by her side. Virgil was born on August 15, 1934 in Misere, WI to the late Elmer J. and Rose M. (Tombal) Bouche. She was a graduate of Brussels High School. On September 10, 1952, she married Philip E. Romdenne at St. Michael Church in Misere. Together they had eight children and Philip preceded Virgil in death on September 14, 2003.
Virgil worked at the Cherry factory in Sturgeon Bay, Plumber's Woodwork in Algoma in 1966 and then for Leyse Aluminum in Kewaunee for 26 years.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and Altar Rosary Society in Casco for many years until moving to Luxemburg and becoming a member of St. Mary Church in Luxemburg, along with the Christian Mother Society. Virgil was a member of the Casco Lion's Club and the Casco Legion Auxiliary, Post 319. She volunteered at the Dyckesville and Luxemburg senior dining sites for numerous years. She loved helping people and volunteering her time.
Virgil is survived by her six children, Therese Wagner, Algoma; Clarice Rollin, Luxemburg; Kevin (Lynnette) Romdenne, Little Sturgeon; Carla Hudson, Casco; Loretta (Dave) Krueger, Green Bay; Philip J. (Bonni) Romdenne, Casco; eleven grandchildren, Heather Harmann, David (partner, Lawrence Monoson) Harmann, Jason (Mellisa) Rollin, Jennifer (friend, Leo) Rollin, Kelli (Zach) Mayhew, Chelsea Hudson, Jared (friend, Heather) Hudson, Ryan Allen, Jacob Smith, Cory (Taylor) Romdenne, Mariah (friend, Zach) Romdenne, step-grandchildren, April and Frieda; seven great grandchildren, Chloe, Marshal, Jon, Lizzy, Evan, Alaina and Savannah; brothers and sisters in law, Ronald (Mae) Bouche, Green Bay; Gary (Sharon) Bouche, New Franken; Kenny (Nancy) Bouche, Brussels; sisters and brothers in law, Judy Payette, Green Bay; Sandy (Randy) Guillette, Brussels; Elton Elberling, CA; many nieces and nephews. Virgil is also survived by her second family at Autumn Fields and her dear friend Virginia.
Virgil was preceded in death by her husband Philip; her ten-month-old twin daughters, Carlene and Charlene Romdenne; two sons in law, Robert Wagner, Dan Hudson; her parents, Elmer and Rose Bouche; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Philip and Clara (Delain) Romdenne; brother, Allen Bouche; sister, Virginia (Pat) Moreau; brothers in law, Jerry Payette, Norbert Romdenne; sisters in law, Lorraine Elberling, Loretta Romdenne; her grandparents, George and Louise Tombal.
Friends may call 4:30 to 7:00 pm at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Closing parish rosary with Deacon Bob Miller at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:45 am on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Funeral 11:00 am on Thursday at the church with Rev. Daniel Schuster celebrating and Rev. Dennis Drury concelebrating. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Casco.
