Betty Clabo Maples, age 76 of Pigeon Forge, went to be with the Lord, 6:45 AM on Thursday, April 24, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Maples, son, Steven Maples, great grandson, James Cullen Morris. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge. Survivors: Daughters and sons-in-law: Connie and David Lewelling, Ronnie and Bob Barker Daughter-in-law: Linda Atchley Maples Grandchildren: Kim and Chuck McCown, Wendy and Greg Patterson, Leslie Maples, Chad Owenby, Tishia and Daniel Morris, Tara Maples, Joy and Andrew Huff, Janel and Nathan Buice, Whitney Maples Great-grandchildren: Brittany McCown, Chase McCown, Pailen Maples, Rylie Patterson, Walker Morris, Braiden Morris, Regen Morris Brothers and sisters: Jewel Clabo, Jay Clabo, Eva Fain, Luella Manning, Freida Cole, Joyce Rimel Special friend: Blanche Williams Funeral service 4 PM Sunday at First Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge. Rev. Jeff Brooks and Rev. Wayne Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery.Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 2-4 PM Sunday at First Baptist Church, Pigeon Forge. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
