We will miss Carol at Historic Trinity. She was a congenial lady and made so many contributions over the years. She fought hard for many years but always was positive and had a friendly smile for all. We are comforted knowing her struggle is over and she is with her Savior. Prayers are with the family during the difficult time ahead.

Carol was certainly a great inspiration as to what a Christian life should be and certainly displayed her upbringing instilled by a father who was Pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in Taylor, Michigan for many years. She will be missed by many friends at Historic Trinity who especially enjoyed her unique sense of humor. Her parents surely welcomed her into Heaven.

I loved being in the presence of Carol when the Ladies Aid/Lutheran Women in Mission women met at Historic Trinity Lutheran Church in Downtown Detroit on a Thursday for a noon "Brown Bag" lunch and some fellowship and a time to talk through the adjustments of change in our world. Carol was a dedicated leader! We always began with prayer and a Bible Study led by Rev. Ron Guettler and finished with some type of fun game to gather MITE money for the Women in Mission goal. Carol was instrumental in developing a statement of purpose for the women's group during changing times. She was talented, gentle, fun-loving, struggling with health issues but ALWAYS THANKFUL for each opportunity to guide and lead and serve!
We will deeply miss her presence! Marlene Herzog - co-chair with Carol of the Ladies Aid/LWML
