BURLINGTON - Mrs. Edna Marie Evans Fuller, age 92, of Burlington, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at her home after several months of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Vance Evans and the late Gladys Simpson Evans and was married for over 28 years to Isaac Fuller, who passed in 1983. She retired after many years in the textile industry and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Fuller is survived by her three daughters, Carolyn Johnson and husband, Robert, of Burlington, Judy Baker and husband, Harvey, of Burlington and Jane Allred and husband, "Frankie", of Gibsonville; seven grandchildren, Teresa Wooding, Tony Baker, Curtis Johnson, Robin Fogleman, Dennis Allred, Michael Fuller and McKayla Fuller; eight great grandchildren, Josh Wooding, Todd Wooding, Graham Wooding, Cole Fogleman, Alyssa Allred, Jody Johnson, Chloe Johnson and Ashley Baker; and two sisters, Geneva King and Mary Putnam. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sons, Daniel Lee Fuller and Jessie Lee Fuller; a brother, Elijah "Buddy" Evans; and three sisters, Evelyn Hayden, Nanny Newell and Ollie Mae Evans.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Norman Fargis. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:30 – 11:45 Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at her daughter, Judy's home.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Hospice for the loving and compassionate care given to Marie during her illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
