Frances Nadene McQueen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at her home on February 11, 2012. Born December 9, 1924, in Heber City, Utah to Charles Francis and Sarah Vivian Carlile. She graduated from Wasatch High School in Heber. She married the love of her life, Merrald Robert McQueen, on June 3, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Nadene was a wonderful friend to all and enjoyed being with friends and family. She was a gifted musician who could play many instruments by 'ear' but especially enjoyed the accordion, organ and piano. She loved playing the omnichord with her sister and brother. Camping and making cookies for her grandchildren were some of her favorite things to do. Many kitchens are blessed with her hand-crocheted dish clothes. She worked at the school lunch where she made many lifelong friends. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in the Primary, Relief Society and was a faithful visiting teacher. We will miss our wonderful mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Merildene (David) Judd, Carl (Terry) McQueen, Colleen (Alan) Simister, Larry (Brenda) McQueen; sister, Wanda (Lester) Simmons and sister-in-law, Ethel McQueen; 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. It is with great sadness that I recognize the death of the grandmother of Wade and Chad Simister (childhood friends) and Cory Mcqueen who I played basketball at North summit with. I will always remember the patient, kind person that Frances was but most of all I will remember her clean, organized home where not even a particle of dust could be found. Frances was the "windex" queen and the poster woman for "spic and span". Thank you for being so clean and orderly Frances and for being such a terrific person. Chad E Willoughby Midvale, Utah

Dear Family of Nadene.
I have many fond memories of working with your mother in Relief Society. We had a lot of fun and many laughs. Ted and I wish to express our sympathy to you. We loved our time living in Coalville and Hoytsville. There are so many great people, especially your parents. We send our love .
