Glenda Lorraine Sullivan Burns, age 59 of White Bluff, TN died on Oct. 10, 2019 at the Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, TN. She had fought a 9-year battle with breast cancer.
Glenda was born May 21, 1960 in Nashville, TN. She was the oldest of 5 children and a graduate of MTSU where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree.
For 18 years, Glenda served as co-owner and treasurer for Burns Services, Inc., a commercial construction business. Prior to Burns Services, she was a paralegal having worked for multiple firms in the middle TN area.
A mother of 2 boys and a grandmother to 4 grandchildren, she was their "Lolly". Glenda loved her family and spending time with them. She was the definition of good, her acts of love and kindness were "the glue" that held the family together. She loved reading, spending time at the beach and lake house, and "Snoopy".
She was preceded in death by her sister, Kelley Gabell.
She is survived by her husband, the love of her life for 37 years, Mike Burns; her parents, J.C. and Delema Sullivan of White Bluff, TN; her 2 sons, Daniel Burns (Amanda D.) of White Bluff, TN, David Burns (Amanda W.) of White Bluff, TN; her brother, Mark Sullivan (Carla) of Burns, TN; sisters, Shelley Miles of Dickson, TN, Mary Beth McNeese (Len) of White Bluff, TN; grandchildren, Dawson, Amy, Anna, and Tinley Burns. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
