Helen M. Bennett, 94, Brockway, passed away on February, 20, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Bloomington, Indiana. She graduated from Bloomington High School class of 1944. After graduating, she traveled around, living in California and Michigan before marrying Lowell Bennett and settling down in Indianapolis, where they resided until moving to DuBois, PA in 1992. Together they owned and operated Valhalla Bowling Alley in Indianapolis for over 30 years. She enjoyed bowling, golf, gardening, and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy (Phil) Lawlis of the Harrisburg area and Jill (Bill) Hicks of Brockway; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby (Don) Patton; brother Ross Davis; sisters in-law Beverly Davis and Mary Lou Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Newton and Josie Birch Davis, husband Lowell in 1993; sisters Katie Davis and Pat Brand; sister-in-law Jean Davis; brothers Richard and James.
Per her wishes there will be no visitation. A family service will be scheduled at a later time.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mengle Memorial Library, 324 Main St., Brockway, PA 15824 or charity of the donor choice.
Arrangements entrusted to Pennsylvania Cremation Services, LLC.
