James E. (Big Jim) Otey departed this life December 25, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Bernice L. Otey; two sisters, Marion A. Johnson and Iola Boyd; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law, a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives. Remains rest at Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 12 noon with Rev. Richard Tucker officiating, assisted by Elder Samuel Dunlap. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
