He was born May 23, 1936, to Ocie Lonzo and Virginia Johnson Wilson in Junction City, LA. Before his retirement, James worked for Monsanto for over 30 years as supervisor.
Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Nancy Wilson, grandson, Jarrid Wilson, brothers, Marion and Tommy Wilson; and sister, Nancy Ritchie.
Survivors include his two daughters, Donna Dorrell (Terry), Denise Stanton (Allen) both of Alvin, TX; two sons, David Wilson of Junction City, Daniel Wilson (Sarah) of Summerfield, LA; brothers, Maurice Wilson of Junction City, Jarrell Wilson (Bet) of Lillie, LA, Woody Wilson (Helen) of Lillie, LA, William Wilson (Joann) of Lockhart, LA, J.D. Wilson (Patricia) of Three Creeks, AR, Richard Wilson (Beth) of Pine Bluff, AR.; sisters, Dorothy Spooner of Junction City, Bobbie Orr of El Dorado, Julia Meador (Freddie) of Junction City, Judy Carter-Franklin (Dale) of Fort Smith, AR; sixteen grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15, at the First United Methodist Church in Junction City.
Funeral services will be 10-:00 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Junction City with Daniel Wilson and Rev. Mary Depper officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Presbyterian Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
