July 7, 1941 - December 5, 2018
Macon, GA- Janie Patterson Myers, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ingleside Baptist Church with Dr. Mark Hudgins and Dr. Tim McCoy officiating. Burial will be private at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service in the Chapel of Ingleside Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ingleside Baptist Church, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon GA 31210 or Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210.
Janie was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Edgar Woodrow and Doris Whitten Patterson. She was a graduate of A.L. Miller class of 1959. Janie was a legal secretary for fifty years and retired from Lawton Miller Attorney at Law. She was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and the G.I.F.T. Sunday School Class, and a member of the Blended and Chapel Choirs. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty nine years, Paul Milton Myers of Macon, daughter, Donna (Randy) Blizzard of Macon, grandchildren, Jason Blizzard of Providence, RI, Stephen (Elisabeth) Blizzard of Macon, siblings, Joyce Beasley of Macon, Patsy (Russell) Fellows of Macon, Brenda (Phillip) Davis of Macon, Pat Patterson of Macon, and several nieces and nephews and loving caregivers.
