Jeffrey "Jeff" Thomas, 55, of Southaven passed away on January 1, 2016. He was born July 10, 1960 in Riverside, CA, moved to Memphis in 1973, studied Business Administration at Memphis State University, and earned his aircraft and power plant mechanical license from Memphis Aviation Vo-Tech. Jeff was President of A New Look, Inc. in Southaven, MS, which specializes in bathtub refinishing and repairs. He founded the company in 1985, building it from the ground up. Jeff always said, "it's not A New Look til I say it's A New Look." His passions were driving his truck, discovering how things were built and worked, science fiction (notably Star Trek), the Discovery and History channels, talk radio and music. He also loved his cat Zoe and ball python Solo. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents Van and Betty Thomas. He is survived by his brother John (Karin) of Colorado, nephew David, niece Stephanie, cousin Nadine Heidelberg of Oregon, and his second family the Leeke's of the Memphis area. He also leaves behind many life-long friends and valued customers. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 9th at 11 a.m. at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven. Donations may be made to The Memphis Humane Society or St. Jude.
