To the family of John Williams,
Tonight, Charlie and I are with Martha and many friends of John at a gathering missing his great smile and warm hugs. We come together for the 10th year with at least eight of those with John. He was a good friend and one that always loved our fellowship and fun discussions about politics in Jacksonville. He was a great man and will be sorely missed.
With love and affection, Teala and Charlie Milton

John has been a good friend of mine for 26 years. We met at Independent Life and shared so much in our long friendship. He was my "rain" buddy. We would follow a storm cloud until it burst and then sit in the rain. Also, we used to pig out on CJ's oysters and other times it was boiled peanuts. I just found out tonight John passed away. A lesson to be learned here: 2 weeks to not be in touch is a long time. I will miss John because he stuck by me through all of my foolishness through the years. Cheryl McHale

It’s always hard to say goodbye to Daddy’s, loved ones, and special friends. Today, I learned that we’ve lost all three. Friends that we make in life touch us in such a way that will forever make them special in our hearts. John, without exception, is one of the dearest friends I will ever have. He is the father of one of my life’s best friends and a member of a family that will forever be as dear as my own. He is well known by many for his good looks, wit, and charm but especially known for his uncanny ability to make everyone laugh. He not only shared a grand amount of kindness with everyone he met he also unselfishly shared his special gift, the beautiful gift of a perfect heart. Though he may have had more than his share of life’s struggles he never labored with how to truly appreciate and completely live life. Each of us should feel blessed to have been touched by such a wonderful man. Even though he’s physically no longer part of our world, his spirit remains to guide and comfort us until the time comes for us to meet again.
John Hoyle Williams Sr., with all my love and all the blessings from above, I pray for you Divine Peace. God’s Speed – Nina
