Joe, I think of you often, as I do of family, friends and pets that have died. I want you to know that Richard is also not forgotten. Love you always.

People die twice: physically and when your name is never mentioned. Joe, you never died because I think of you often and will never forget you. Eternal love.

When I first started teaching at Fairmount School, Joe took me under his wing as a mentor and a friend. We shared so many highs and lows during those years as colleagues and friends.
Having had lost touch with him after he left New Jersey, i was saddened to hear about his passing. Two years later, I know he is flying with the angels and definitely stirring up some trouble along the way!

Joe & myself were the only two who carried the Gauthier name out of 27 cousins. As adults we grew close for over 40 years. I am truly heart broken at his loss.

I will always fondly remember Mr. Gauthier as my first grade teacher in Hackensack. He was an amazing teacher with a warm heart and a great sense of humor.

Joe Gauthier held a special place in our family hearts as a 1st grade teacher to our son Michael in 1986 and friend to us. He reached out to our family during one of the most difficult times of our lives and we will always remember him dearly. Our sympathy to Rich Viano and May Joe Rest In Peace.
