The picture here is just the way I want to remember her. Beautiful, full of life, energy and high spirit. I am so grateful for the knowledge she imparted on me, the candid conversations we were able to have, all of the laughter and happy moments, and her stories of the life she was able to live. She was fabulous! I miss her already but thankful for what we shared, and glad that her suffering is now over. She can rest well now, in perfect peace and with much love ❤❤

Mae Sullivan - Cosmetologist, Certified Aromatherapist, and Publisher
Mae Sullivan acquired her degree in Cosmetology from one of the renown institutions in the field, Los Angeles Trade Technical College. She obtained exclusive training in "precision hair cutting" from the eminent John Atchison. After more than fifteen years of cosmetology experience as a hair stylist, she owned and operated Ebony Continental Hair Designs from 1979 to 1988. Mae was featured in Glamour Magazine for her hair pressing techniques, February 1988. Having completed more than twenty-five years in Cosmetology, a change was forseen, at which time a facial product was developed and Aromatherapy came into her life through prayer.
She received her Introductory Level Training certificate in Aromatherapy, October 1991, anthologizing her work she continued studies, obtaining her Advanced Aromatherapy Certificate, August 1994. After more intensive studies she obtained her Teacher Training 1 Certificate, May, 1995. As an Aesthetician, her goals were to introduce Aromatherapy to those who believe in natural complementary health care through the benefits of Essential Oils, with attention to nutrition and over all well-being. As a certified Aromatherapist, she developed several beauty products from essential oils: "Refine the Lines; "Healthy Perfect Strong Hair; "Nurishing Skin to the Dermis".
Mae's passion to nurture our youth with etiquette and values that the school system could not afford to give, is shown in her book: "What Young Minds Need to Know: Gaining Your Independence (2020)." In this book Mae offers examples of effective, positive self help in the areas of appropriate fashions, beauty, exercise and domestic excellence, benefits to influence and bring about a more confident young person.
She was a leader in her community and created the Senior Once a Month Meal Ministry, to provide delicious quality home cooked meals for physically challenged seniors 70+ that desired savory healthy and nutritious meals. Many, many seniors and families were blessed by this ministry; with an outreach as far away as St. Louis, Missouri. Mae prepared every meal from scratch with an emphasis on freshness to enhance their quality of life and, "eating to nourish our bodies". She told her seniors: "God said in His word that He would provide for our every need. All we have to do is trust Him. Therefore, monthly meals will be provided at no cost to you". Mae absolutely shined in this ministry as she believed this was an opportunity to share her love of cooking and fulfill her purpose in life.
We will certainly miss our dear sister Mae, and all the love she poured out to family and friends in so many ways; with an emphasis on trusting in God and strengthening your Faith in Him. Reminding us that, "God always works things out in His time, will and way". She will certainly always be Remembered in our Hearts and Forever Loved.
