Marty J. Race, 68, of State Rt. 48, Granby (Fulton), NY passed away at University Hospital on Friday Nov. 10, 2017. Born to his mother Helen (Weber) and his late father, Martin R. Race on Feb. 9, 1949 in Syracuse, NY. He was U S Marine Corps Veteran serving from 1969-1971. Marty was a self employed roofing and painting contractor. An avid hunter, fisherman and bowler.
Besides his father he was predeceased by his brother
Burton.
Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years, Louise (Markham) Race; his children Lance (Tina) Race, Sonya Jones (Toby Bushnoe), Heather Race, Cherri Race, Scott (Cathy) Race; his mother Helen (Weber) Race; his siblings Helen Mae Colby, Doreen Race, and Donald (Sherry) Race; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are on Wednesday Nov 15, from 2-6 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St.,
Phoenix, NY.
