Saint Francis prayer for Marty Smith and his family thanks for all great memories Unidilla etc .

Class act R.I.P Mr Smith and your Wife. Thanks for being a hero to so many young teens and men you made a difference in this motocrossers life.

I followed his career , I saw him @ Rio Bravo Trans Am just a glance & a good luck a friend I never knew . Just a glance and a good luck to ya . R.I.P.

Marty and I were friends back in the late eighties and early 90s. I assisted him during his motocross lessons at palm ave. The 1 thing I remember from marty is,"Always land with the gas on dude."

an inspiration to anyone ever to sit an mx bike, not just rideing , but his layed back personality. God keep him, and rest in peace Nancy and Marty.

marty was such a inspiration in my life watching him as i was coming up the ranks i met marty and tommy croft in Livermore calif he had his black van and was playing the L.A. oldies music i would watch marty racing all over the united states. my condolence goes out to marty nancy and the family so sad.

He was the Man.

I was just a 11 year old kid that remembers Marty Smith as a idol an icon and someone I admired! I still have a handle grip that was cut off his bike in 1978 at Trans AMA Dual at Lake Sugarcreek in Axton VA. I was just trying to find some photos of that memorable trip with my grandfather to see him race. Oh those were the days.

RIP, my friend! You were a great icon to me.
