WEST ENFIELD - Paulette Hallett, 61, beloved wife, mother and Mere Mere, graduated to angel status on the afternoon of Dec. 18, 2012, after a courageous battle with bacterial meningitis. She was born April 3, 1951, in Lincoln, the daughter of Rudolph and Dora (Paradis) Caron.
Mom was an avid reader and puzzle solver. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren. Mom loved cooking and she enjoyed collecting salt/pepper shakers. Her pancakes were simply the best. She also enjoyed hummingbirds and every spring she would plant her flower garden with hummingbird feeders. Mom would always have a camera on hand to capture those special moments. Mom always greeted you with a big smile and hug, and she never had a bad thing to say about anyone, truly a remarkable woman. Mom was a classy lady who loved her high heel shoes and hats. She would always wear heels no matter what the occasion and watch out world when she would wear her hats. She was truly a stunning beauty.
In addition to her husband, Donald of West Enfield, she is survived by three children, Johana Birdsall and her husband, William, and their children, Emily and Henry, all of Hancock, Sandra Levesque and her husband, Jeremiah, and their child, Samuel, all of Bangor, and Jhon Hallett and his children, Isaac and Anna Marie, all of Bangor; one brother, Bruce Caron of Florida; two sisters, Mona Palomba and Annie Reardon, both of Oakville, Conn.; she also leaves behind many friends and relatives. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Danny Caron. She will never leave us. She will forever live in our hearts and in the wonderful memories we shared throughout the years. Let none of us forget mother. This will not be hard, those of us lucky enough to know her. She never asked anything from anybody, and was only too willing to help or be there. She must live in our hearts and memories now. Always loved by all.
Graveside services will be held in the spring at West Enfield Cemetery.

My deepest sympathy to all of Paulette's family. She was a remarkable person and friend. I was lucky enough to meet and be friends with Paulette working at the shoe shop and also going to Husson College, we always had fun and many, many laughs. I have only seen her a few times since, but thought of her often. I am sure she will be missed sadly, but remembered fondly by many - me included. Again, my deepest sympathy.

"Miss Paulette" and I worked together for 8 years for Georgia Pacific. I always enjoyed her company. She was such a lady with her hair up in a bun, dresses, lipstick and nails all done, and don't foget the stilletto's... every day!She even had high heel sneakers!I can still hear her laugh. She'll probably be the conductor of the trucks and trains she'll run in her eternal life. A wonderful person who will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
