Not sure what to say?

Dear Pop,
If only you were here. It has been the absolute worst year for Mom and I as we lost our precious Powell.
Thank God you were not here to see this. I hope you welcomed him to the land of paradise and are with him now reminding him how much he is loved. We miss you, too, Pop. Life just hasn't been the same since both of you left us. I love you Pop. Always! And look forward to the day we will be together again in eternity....
Xoxo,
Baby

Dear Pop-I cannot believe it has been 10 years since we lost you! A lot has happened both in the world as well as in our family. Saying I miss you is an understatement. Losing you has left a huge void of emptiness in my heart and I haven't felt that warm sense of love since. I miss our 6am phone calls and miss our banter and talks at the family business. This Christmas was like no other at the shop and in in our home and I just wish you were still here. I love you, I miss you and you...

Dearest Daddy~almost a year ago today I lost you~the most important man in my life!!!! I miss you EVERY second of EVERY day and you live eternally in my heart and soul! May you continue to rest in peace and may your angelic soul continue to shine on us and guide us through each day without you! I love you Pop~ Your devoted Baby~

PT -- I stopped by to see you today (May 28) with no idea that you had departed us in January. You were a wonderful friend. I send my deepest sympathies to your family. You'll be missed, especially sitting at the round top at PT Hastings.

Pop,
We love and miss you everyday and are reminded on a daily basis of how many lives you touched and how much you brightened other's lives! Your memory is cherished FOREVER.....

I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. He supported my father & mother in their business venture years ago! On behalf of my parents your family is in my prayers.

I'm so very sorry to hear that Mr. Hastings past away. He was a very kind man and treated me and everyone like a friend instead of a stranger. He had a warm spirit about him that you rarely find amongst people. I feel like he was distant family and he will truly be missed. Rest in paradise my friend.

We live over an hour away and are just learning of this sad news. We would always come to the store for our special occasions food. It was always a pleasure to see Mr. Hastings while in the store. We are very sorry to learn of his passing and we wish his family peace during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Sherri Parker Thompson and Bill Dutton

We so loved going in the shop and especially loved when PT was there. We live in Fork Union and it was one of our favorites stops when we went to Richmond to shop. We will miss him so, but will sure continue to shop there. What a fine man and we are glad we knew him.
