Richard B. Harris Sr. Richard (Dick) B. Harris Sr, 93, passed away on June 11, 2018. He was born November 21, 1924 in Camden, NJ, to Dr. Edwin and Gladys Harris. He served in both the Army and the US Naval Reserve. While in the service he worked part time in radio broadcasting, which became his life's work. His career in radio, spanning 50 years, took him to many stations across the country including WPEN, WCBS, KGDN/KGFM, KCIS and KIRO to name a few. Dick loved Ham radio, pipe organ music, and of course his family. Dick married Dorothy Bankhead in 1949 in Atlantic City, NJ. They were happily married for 69 years. Dick is survived by his wife, Dorothy; sister, Charlotte; children: Rick Harris and wife, Becky; Tom Harris and his wife, Diane, daughter, Joy Chaudiere and her husband, Dale. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Edwin and Gladys Harris; his sisters Joy, Lois, Rachel, and his eldest daughter, Diane Harris Bebee. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial dona-tions be made to the building fund for Alderwood Community Church, 3403 Alderwood Mall Blvd. Lynnwood, WA 98036.
