Chief Richmond Davis was a very close friend. We met years ago when we worked at the City of Raleigh. I am so very sorry to learn so late of his passing. He was always kind, caring and lived as a very genuine and generous human being. His smile was filled with kindness and compassion. I will always treasure the special times we shared together through the years. He always made time to send me caring and loving birthday wishes. Once when I was hospitalized he greeted me as soon as I came out of surgery. He knew I had no local family making this an extra special and happy gift. It warmed my heart and lifted my spirit! His cherished memory lives on forever in my heart. He's now in his well deserved heavenly home! Love forever to Richmond and all of his family!

So thankful to God and His divine grace for the earthly life of dear Richmond. A decorated retired fireman, entrepreneur, and faithful servant to the Lord, Richmond will be missed by many. I will cherish memories of him as he taught me the meaning of true friendship and loyalty. This especially relates to his almost 20 years of being a loyal and devoted friend to the departed Cecilia Davis and the Pugh family (Vanessa, Porsche, and Michael Davis). Rest In Peace!

This was a great man. He would do anything to help anyone. He was a rare and special human being. We are all better and blessed for having known him and having him in our lives. May the peace and grace of God comfort you and give you strength to endure this loss.

Please accept my condolences. Please know that the God of comfort feels your pain and sorrow. He actually provides something better to look forward to. Jeremiah 29:11 specifically tells us God wants to give us a peaceful "future and hope." He promises in the near future all the pain and sorrow you are experiencing about your loss will be gone and we will be able to enjoy perfect life with all our loved ones.
