Shelby Lambert STATESVILLE Mrs. Shelby Jean Sprinkle Lambert, 71, of Statesville, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Iredell County, March 11, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Sherrill Raymond Sprinkle and Mary Caseline Lambert Sprinkle. She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of East Side Baptist Church. On Sept. 27, 1958, she married Donald L. Lambert, who survives. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Charles Sprinkle. Also surviving are two sons, Terry Lambert (Diane) and Randy Lambert (Lana); two daughters, Donna Elliott (Barry) and Robin Horne (Ricky); along with 11 grandchildren, Jennifer O'Neill (Jim), Lori Patterson (Clint), Lisa Arehart (Corey), Matt Elliott (Jennifer), Sherrie Lambert (Shawn Lemire), Misty Lambert, Josh Horne, Mary Lippard (Ryan), Megan Horne, Courtney Lambert and Rebecca Lambert. Also surviving are 14 great-grandchildren, Chelsea Arehart, Joseph Are-hart, Jacob Wingate, Riley Patterson, Caleb Patterson, Shelby Crain, Jaxon O'Neill, Chase Elliott, Chloe Elliott, John-athan Cartner, Brooklyn Lippard, Elijah Edwards, William O'Neill and Dakota O'Neill. Services celebrating Shelby's life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at East Side Baptist Church with the Revs. Jim Morgan, John Parks and J.C. Parks officiating. She will lie in state for 30 minutes, prior to service, and burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Elliott, Clint Patterson, Jim O'Neill, Shawn Lemire, Josh Horne and Jacob Wingate. The family will be assembled at the residence of the deceased and will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 this evening, (Friday, Dec. 28), at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
