William B. "Red" Critzer William Boyd "Red" Critzer, 61, of Troy, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, died on Saturday, March 30, 2013. Born in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of the late William and Bertha Moore Critzer. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member and officer of the Charlottesville Moose Lodge. He was an employee of the Fluvanna County School System and was a self employed timberman. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed life to the fullest and especially being with his family and grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and was loved by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Critzer; one son, Scott Critzer; one daughter, Holly C. Hamshar and her husband, Travis; six grandchildren, Lauren, Joshua, Drew, Nate, Cameron and Zach; seven sisters, Barbara, Joyce Ann, Mildred, Nancy, Mary, Isabella and Sue; two brothers, Roy and "best friend" Bo; and many extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Teague Funeral Home. Friends may sign the guest register at teaguefuneralhome.com.

Our son Dakota Goolsby thought alot of Mr. Critzer. He enjoy talking to him each day. He was a great bus driver and a great man. He will surely be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!

My son Nathaniel thought alot of "Mr.C." He was my sons favorite bus driver.

Linda and family, Red will be greatly missed, we all love his jokes and sense of humor. God has taken another angel for his flock. I went to school with Red, his wife Linda and his sister Barbara and I were best friends in school. Red was a great caring, loving and funny person.

RED was the bus driver of my two sons.He had a heart of gold and will be missed .Prayers being sent for all his family.

Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Mr. Critzer and I worked a lot together last year when he subbed for various teachers on my team with whom I co-taught. He always had a smile and a laugh to share even during very trying moments with the eight grade students on our team! He will be missed!

Tom and I were so sad to hear about Red. We thought the world of him and used to love carrying on with him Friday nights at the Moose! He was crazy about Linda and those grandchildren. He sponsored Tom into the Moose and welcomed us to the famous 4th of July celebration so we wouldn't spend it by ourselves. He always had a joke to tell and his sense of humor was contagious. I often found myself looking for jokes for Red to get up and tell Friday nights! Tom even got to bowl with him on one of...

The members and supporters of the Albemarle High School Alumni Association were very sorry to hear about William's passing. It is always sad to lose a member of the Albemarle family, and we offer our condolences to his family and friends.

To the Critzer family, I didnt know 'Red" personally i just knew him from the moose, singing his karoake, and telling his jokes, he had some good ones. He can sing in heaven now with Boots. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Just know he is an angel in heaven now until you meet him again.
